alzheimers vs stroke

I get really depressed comparing the help available to Alzheimers patients or caregivers to that available to stroke survivors/caregivers.  I was given a wonderful document summarizing all the statistics associated with Alz.
Their association even has a virtual library of information available and librarians that will help you find what you need. Their info email address of alz@info.org is even answered. If you read my blog you realize I am a one person library with no assistance from any organization. Both the US stroke associations don't have anything similar. Comparing affected persons are almost the same.
5.2 million people in the US having Alzheimers.
6.4 million stroke survivors in the US.
1 in 8 chance of getting alzheimers.
1 in 5 chance of having a stroke.
Yet looking at this document you can see that it is professionally created. Who among the stroke survivors can create a similar document? The stroke associations either can't or won't. We have to do it ourselves, contact me if you want to take it on.

A Generation Stroke publication could be quite useful
