Snow - Yes

Its lightly snowing today. Maybe this winter will actually be a decent winter for stroke rehab. You need fairly deep snow so you have to post hole your steps requiring you to lift your foot high enough to clear the snow and stay balanced. Last year was pathetic, about 5 snowfalls of 4-5 inches each time, the snow would completely melt between each snowfall and the ground never froze. My trail clearing just needs two more limbs cut out. I hate daylight savings time, it doesn't allow me any walking time in daylight after work.

  1. Dean, of course you like deep snow - I like having virtually no winter, which is what we usually get here. Last year Tom and a neighbor dug me a path to get to the neighbor's house; as I walked along it, Tom hovered until I told him that even if I fell, I'd be fine. Nothing wrong with snow up my sleeve and down my neck. I hope you get all the snow you want, and that we get none. Ice is what scares me.

  2. Being a socal native, I couldn't even imagine a "real winter". Once for a new job, I had to train for a month in December in Columbus,Ohio. I couldn't understand why anyone would want to live there. Freezing cold, scraping the car window, digging the car out...no thanks! It was sunny and 83 today, beautiful day for the park. Forecast looks the same for tomorrow. Makes me very happy!! The only time I want to deal with snow is if I'm on vacation, and I haven't been ready to get back to snowboarding...not sure if that will ever be a part of my new life even though I used to love it.
