Locks, one handed

At the new contract in Boston I got a laptop and a cable lock for the laptop. This is a spring loaded pull out the cable from the reel while pushing down on the lever. Completely designed for two handed persons.  You have to pull out the locking mechanism first so you can loop it around furniture. I haven't figured out how to do this one-handed yet. I'm sure I'll have to break down and ask a co-worker to pull it out for me, Arghhh!

    Yes, the push-down-while-you-pull-up childproof caps on meds are aggravating, but I've never gotten one I couldn't open by myself. You'll get this lock eventually. Chin? Or attach loop on reel to something, then push down w thumb on lock and away w hand?

      Yeah, I stepped on the end and pulled it out.
