I blog on anything to do with stroke. DO NOT DO ANYTHING SUGGESTED HERE AS I AM NOT MEDICALLY TRAINED, YOUR DOCTOR IS, LISTEN TO THEM. BUT I BET THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET YOU 100% RECOVERED. I DON'T EITHER BUT HAVE PLENTY OF QUESTIONS FOR YOUR DOCTOR TO ANSWER.

Apple tree stroke rehab
This is an easy therapy to do as I walk to and from the car. Our Haralson apple tree has a 1.5 inch thick branch at head height. I grab it with both hands and just hang from the limb, works the finger flexors to just hold on. I last maybe 1 minute. Then I stand and just using my left arm push and pull myself away and toward the limb, initially I had to use both arms to do this. This came from Rowland Gale who had a website called hemiplegiarecovery and he called it pipe in a tree. This should only be done after you consult your therapist/doctor, you wouldn't want to fall and hurt yourself.
