Sleep is not just for sleeping - stroke rehab time!

When I was visiting my friend in Utah I got to sleep on one of those 6 in. thick air  mattresses. This was great for 3 reasons.
1. The bed was pushed against the wall trapping the blankets there. This allowed me to roll over fairly easily since I didn't need to worry about pulling the covers off.
2. I could lay on my stomach and place my left arm over my head stretching out my lats for an extended period of time.
3. It forced me to rise from the floor to standing, thus reducing my risk of mortality. I would like to live another 40 years.
There is absolutely nothing here that is clinically proven so don't do it!

  1. ditto!

I especially like stretching my affected arm out of the blankets and over my head when I get too hot under the covers. Lowering it forward down to the bed makes me happy too, although it sometimes gives up and falls for the final 6 inches.

    Let's hear it for 24/7!
