When I looked at this a long time ago fatigue and general lethargy
were a major component of getting a depression diagnosis. Which would
skew the questionaire for strokies.

Dr Mary Leung, a Chartered Psychologist, comments:
"It is imperative to screen for depression for person who had
suffered a stroke as depression could hinder the realisation of their
remaining potentials. However, it is crucial for professional to be able
to differentiate physical symptoms purely resulting from a stroke to
those physical criteria used to identify depression in the general
population."
