Aspirin No Help for Stroke Outcomes

  • In the Women's Health Study, a large randomized clinical trial, for women who were randomized to low-dose aspirin, there was no significant decrease in total stroke incidence.
  • The use of aspirin was also not associated with significantly better functional outcomes in terms of total stroke, ischemic stroke, or hemorrhagic stroke.
