Neuroplasticity After Aquired Brain Injury

A great article that every doctor should be explaining in detail to all their patients. The diagram from there is great..

  1. It needs to be the doctor's responsibility to tell their patients how important inpatient rehab is, I agree. But that's called leadership, and doctors don't do that. They leave it to therapists, and they're allergic to the subject of neuroplasticity. So the patients learn nothing, and all that recovery goes to the outside dumpsters. The patients instead get taught Learned Non-Use and how to turn their hand and arms into great organic cup-holders.

    1. Yeah my doctor wrote ET - evaluate and treat prescriptions, nothing that I couldn't have done myself. I don't think he knew a damn thing.
