American Heart Association says Stroke Patients fare better in Hospitals speeding care

These idiots are measuring the wrong thing. You don't measure processing time, you measure results. Less dead and damaged neurons. When you measure stroke that way you will finally realize that you are allowing billions of neurons to die on a daily basis because you are doing nothing to stop the neuronal cascade of death.
But could they fare even better by finding ways to stop the neuronal cascade of death?

Key elements of Target: Stroke include:

  • Emergency medical services notifying hospitals that they’re transporting a stroke victim.
  • A single phone call activating the hospital stroke team.
  • Eligible stroke patients being quickly moved from the emergency department to the lab, so a CT scan can be done within 25 minutes of arrival.
  • Pre-preparing tPA for eligible stroke patients.
  • Tools including guidelines, stroke scale and triage protocols.
Nothing here on procedures during the first week. Massive failure, these people need to be fired.
