The quote from my ER doctor when tPA did not fully work. This is 10 years after it was approved and very obviously this doctor had seen it fail many  times before. He should have gone screaming into the head stroke doctors office, 'That tPA barely ever works, what are you doing about something better?'  But no, no one was willing to tell the emperor that he was naked. Which means that we have wasted almost 20 years trying to shoehorn  everything into a tPA protocol. Damn are people stupid. This is why the stroke medical world should not be in charge of stroke research and rehabilitation.
