The first thing that should be done is for the stroke world to look at this for tPA problems. My use of tPA at the 90 minute mark should have been written up as a failure. It blew out the clot - saving my life - but did not restore functionality. I ended up in the 88% failure category of tPA. My ER doctor knew exactly how bad tPA works. He said, ' The fast miracle did not work, you'll have to settle for the slow rehabilitation miracle'. Damn it, it has been 8 years. Is that slow enough for you?
