October 24, 2014 Stroke connects many of us - perhaps it touched your life directly, or that of a family member or friend. Despite the challenging times, you can use your story and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. One in three Americans still cannot recall any of the stroke warning signs. We have made a lot of progress, but still have a ways to go to end stroke. We need your help! This October 29th, in honor of World Stroke Day, we encourage you to inspire others with your story. Ask your family and friends to learn what a stroke looks like. Ask them to download our F.A.S.T. mobile app. It reminds them of the warning signs with an easy acronym-F.A.S.T. (Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 9-1-1)-and shows them the nearest award-winning hospitals. Go to StrokeAssociation.org/worldstrokeday to learn more.
