Journalist, author and political commentator Andrew Marr is supporting a nationwide search for stroke survivors to enter the Life After Stroke Awards (LASA) 2015.
The awards, hosted by the Stroke Association,
recognise the achievements of everyone affected by stroke, from
survivors to carers, volunteers and health professionals.
Marr, who had a stroke himself in 2013, said he was supporting the event to recognise people who had shown bravery.
He said: “These awards pay tribute to the
character, guts and determination of extraordinary people who have come
through the devastating consequences of a stroke The Life After Stroke
Awards nominations are open. If you know somebody who has had a stroke
or looked after someone following a stroke and deserves recognition then
please nominate them.”
Winners will be invited to the awards ceremony on June 25, 2015, at the Rosewood Hotel in London.
Nominations for the awards are open until January 30, 2015.
