Listen to your doctor. Because I'm lucky enough to have had a stroke, I got prescribed a 325 aspirin a day. My dad is on an 81 a day mainly because he has had an enderectomy. And that is the reason my stroke should have been totally preventable. When my dads' doctor knew that his carotid artery was at 80% closure that should have been a signal for direct relatives to get tested - a stroke protocol should be in place for notifications when these events occur. With that notification I could have gotten an ultrasound and found out that my right carotid was getting close to closing up. I could have cleaned it out and thus prevented all these stroke benefits from occurring. And you wouldn't have to listen to all my ranting. So the stroke world is responsible for creating my voice.
