We're more scared of getting dementia in old age than any other disease such as stroke, cancer and heart disease -UK

Until we hit the tipping point of having stroke talked about as much as dementia will we ever get people to work on actual solutions for us. And this lack of visibility I lay directly on our stroke association failures. Mainly because they focus on being positive stating that with F.A.S.T. you can completely recover if you get to a stroke hospital fast enough. They are lying through their teeth. Less than 10% of those eligible for tPA get it and it only works completely to reverse all the effects of the stroke 12% of the time.  We should be stating how f*cking appalling it is that if you have a stroke right now you are screwed.
1 in 6 chance you will have a stroke per the WHO compared to the Americans aged 65 and over, 1 in 8 has Alzheimer’s,
