New drug trial puts possible stroke treatment in the hands of paramedics - in Canada - NA-1

The latest here:
http://www.healthcanal.com/brain-nerves/stroke/61247-new-drug-trial-puts-possible-stroke-treatment-in-the-hands-of-paramedics.html

The earlier trial of the drug here:

Safety and efficacy of NA-1 in patients with iatrogenic stroke after endovascular aneurysm repair (ENACT): a phase 2, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial

Only a year and a half between the two trials. I have no idea if that is fast or slow and since we have nobody in charge of the stroke strategy there is no one who can be asked.  We have absolutely NO leaders in stroke. Nature abhors a vacuum.
