“Someone has a great fire in his soul and nobody ever comes to warm themselves at it, and passers-by see nothing but a little smoke at the top of the chimney.” Vincent van Gogh

There are times I feel the same despair after doing this for six years and still seeing no objective results of my rantings. Gazillions of neurons are still dying every single minute and I haven't helped a single one stay alive to paint that next great painting.

  1. Dean,
    Keep that fire burning!
I find comfort in your daily email that if something helpful comes along, I am confident I will know about it.
Unfortunately, the medical community moves very slowly, so who knows when effective stroke prevention, treatment, & rehab will be available & usable by patients, much less paid for by insurance.
