“For every complex problem, there is a solution that is simple, neat, and wrong.” - HL Mencken

Stroke recovery is an extremely complex problem which our fucking failures of stroke associations have avoided solving by focusing on prevention, F.A.S.T. and tPA delivery. Totally ignoring the neuronal cascade of death and protocols for rehabilitation. If you have had a stroke no one is solving how to get you 100% recovered. No one knows how to make neuroplasticity repeatable on demand or ensure neurogenesis sends new neurons to the correct locations. Everyone is dancing around all the problems in stroke because they are so damned difficult to solve. You are screwed if you have a stroke right now and I see nothing coming in the near future that will help.
