Face plant

Yesterday I went out for my daily walk at 5pm, skies were dark and threatening. I was behind for the week and needed to get in 17,000 steps. A half hour in it started raining, the temperature started out at 95 degrees so I was just out in my long sleeve shirt for arm protection as I trim brambles. 14,000 steps - 7 miles later after walking in heavy rain for 1.5 hours, I tripped and slid in the grass, roots and raspberry bushes. Only casuality was a ripped pants knee and a bleeding thumb. Luckily the glasses landed only 6 inches from my head so in my blindness I could find them. I got to practice putting a band-aid on my good right hand. Something that was totally missing from any of my ADL training.  I challenge myself a lot, do not do this.

  1. How did you walk 7 miles in 1.5 hours?

    1. I commonly do 3 miles an hour, 6,000 steps, was rushing to try to beat the rain.
