YOU will need to DEMAND that the goals for stroke survivors is 100% recovery. Not the dumbed downs goals they are going to pass off as acceptable.
YOU have to set the goals, not the stroke medical professionals. The medical staff is lazy and will not put out stretch goals or anything that might be difficult.

CROWN POINT -
Community Healthcare System has announced plans
for a 129,000-square-foot stroke and rehabilitation center in Crown
Point. The health system will invest an estimated $40 million into the
facility, which is expected to create 100 full-time jobs.
Community
says the center will include inpatient rehabilitation treatment as well
as physician practices, immediate care and outpatient services such as
physical, occupational and speech therapy. A women's diagnostic center
will also be located on the second floor of the four-story building.
The
third and fourth floors of the facility will provide specific therapies
for complex stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions and
spinal cord treatments. The health system says the center will be
the only freestanding dedicated rehabilitation center in Northwest
Indiana.
"Each of our hospitals are accredited Primary Stroke
Centers and serve as a starting point for stroke patients," said Donald
Fesko, chief executive officer of Community. "Studies suggest that for
many post-stroke patients, intensive inpatient rehabilitation treatment
at an inpatient rehabilitation facility may be the best choice,
resulting in enhanced functional outcomes with a shorter length of stay
and higher discharge rate. This same high standard of care(Not results?) also applies
to patients recovering from neurological conditions and joint
replacements and others who need care in a rehabilitative setting."
Community Healthcare System is planning to open the facility in spring 2019.
