Special Collection on Immunology of Stroke: From Animal Models to Clinical Trials

The need for this special issue tells you that not only are there NO protocols for stroke rehab, there are NO protocols for translating research from animal models to humans to clinical use.  But remember 'Stroke is Treatable', notice they did not say for humans, likely refers to rodents.

Special Collection on Immunology of Stroke: From Animal Models to Clinical Trials

This collection summarises the pathophysiological role of the immune system in stroke, and highlights novel translational approaches.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
  • The local immune reponse in the ischaemic or haemorrhagic brain
  • The systemic immune response after ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke
  • Inflammatory biomarkers in stroke
  • The brain-gut axis in stroke
  • Immune-based therapeutic targets and clinical trials
Following initial triage, suitable manuscripts submitted to this Special Collection will undergo external peer review. Article processing charges apply.
