Thrown under the bus

My new contract in Boston is very difficult, testing mainframe changes and modernization. My test project lead is essentially not leading or supporting me and is preparing my imminent blame for the failure of the project rather than actually be a leader and state what is realistically possible. But the blame game is so much safer than telling the truth to leadership, that the project was not planned very well and had unrealistic deadlines. Oh well, I've been thrown under the bus multiple times, usually I can cope because I was experienced enough in the position to get the work done. When you are a contractor you don't have that luxury. Oh well, normally I would bitch to my significant other but that is not available now. So after the jazz concert tonight and a pitcher of beer I put on my headlamp and walked in the woods for an hour getting in an extra 8000 steps planning the emails I need to write.
