Returning to Work After a Stroke

Not one piece of information on how your doctor is failing you by not getting you 100% recovered. You need to have a heart to heart talk with your doctor about such incompetence. More solving of secondary problems by the National Stroke Association. Rather than working on the primary problem of getting you 100% recovered.

Returning to Work After a Stroke

After a stroke, the road back to work can be challenging. Nearly one third of all strokes occur in people under the age of 65. Many people who have had a stroke intend to return to a full- or part-time job. Depending on the severity of the stroke, it might take weeks or months before returning to work is an option. (This should be a no-brainer, the full expectation is that you will directly step back into your old job. Anything less should not even be considered.)

  1. Another question would be how many people return to work and are unable to continue working. Maybe returning too soon maybe going back to the wrong type of job for them at that time, maybe going back without the stamina to work the number of hours or do the tasks required. Maybe a little more support would have made all the difference.
