This church has wonderful animals for its' rain gargoyles; dolphins, armadillos, anteaters, Komodo dragons, pumas, monkeys, penguins, tortoises, and condors.
This blogger has pictures of the ladders you need to climb and descend to get to the views. Getting up wasn't much of a problem, coming down was one step at a time and hanging on for dear life with my good hand, steps were only 2.5 inches wide and the back edge of the lower step lined up with the front edge of the step above it, that gives you an idea of the steepness. I was able to climb foot over foot on the way up by grabbing the chicken wire between the steps.

My pictures from the top.
Way in the distance at the top of the hill is the statue of Virgen de Quito (Madonna of Quito), largest aluminum sculpture in the world.
This is the tower we climbed, if you look real closely you can see people climbing the left support. When we saw those people we knew we had to climb it ourselves, only cost $2.
