Throughout the month we encourage everyone to take a look at their stroke risk factors, and make a pledge to reduce one modifiable risk factor during the month. One of the easiest ways to reduce your stroke risk is to become more active. Physically active people have a 25% – 30% lower risk of stroke than less active individuals. Join us for the Steps to Stop Stroke step challenge, where participants can log their daily steps for a chance to win some great prizes while they train for an upcoming Comeback Trail 5K.
Please consider adding your voice to ours during National Stroke Awareness Month as we raise awareness for stroke risk factors, stroke symptoms, and the need to call 9-1-1 if you suspect a stroke. The life you save just might be your own or a loved one’s.
Sincerely,
|
