Yesterday was raining and cold enough to freeze the rain on exposed surfaces. I went for my usual walk this morning, it was raining quarter inch ice pieces off the tree branches whenever we had a breeze. Luckily it wasn't thicker or I would have needed a hard hat Slogged through water and up to 2 inches of ice on parts of the trails.Luckily only one 6 inch tree needed to be dealt with, but lots of smaller debris to flip to the side.

It should not be winter anymore. Anywhere, except in the southern hemisphere. Even there, it should be fall, transitioning to winter.
