Social Interaction & Recreation After Stroke: Realizing the Possible

If your doctor therapists and stroke hospital weren't complete failures at getting you 100% recovered this would be totally unnecessary. Isn't your doctor and stroke hospital responsible for your 100% recovery? Or have they abdicated that and are using the excuse?  'All strokes are different, all stroke recoveries are different'.

Description

The Stroke Recovery Association of British Columbia and March of Dimes Canada would like to invite you to a series of workshops around the 7 steps to stroke recovery. Workshops are for stroke survivors and their caregivers.
We will provide you information, inspiration, and resources for stroke recovery.
The theme for this month will be 'Communication and Language'.

We would like to invite you to our third workshop on Wednesday, September 19, where you’ll get the opportunity to learn more about:
- The importance of social and recreational activities
- Overcoming obstacles
- How and where to learn about opportunities in your community
Our guest speaker is Susan McAlpine, who has a broad experience in supporting and facilitating stroke survivors in programs for Stroke Recovery.
The workshop is for stroke survivors and their caregivers.
You will also have a chance to make an appointment with our community navigator, to talk about your goals and needs in your journey of recovery.

Join us!
