Taping a box for shipping

Shipping tape is definitely not a one-handed operation. After finally getting the 6 inch length I wanted and ripped off, the tape stub retreated to the roll. With maddening regularity it plastered itself  back down. Then finally finding the edge I would peel off a small edge of it, doing this multiple times until the full width of the tape gets off the roll. That usually entails throwing away 4-5 inches. Even Scotch tape dispensers barely work, only after I pry open my hand and get the dispenser inside, often cracking the plastic housing. Life is damned tough being a stroke survivor with no recourse to look up what the 10 million yearly stroke survivors  have done to solve such problems. I can't be the only stroke survivor that has to use shipping tape.

  1. I tried using packing tape when we were moving my mother-in-law. The worst was trying to put tape around a bubble-wrapped fragile item. I never figured out how to tape the carton closed - instead, I mutilated the flaps to interweave them closed.
