ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: Stroke is the third leading cause of death in advanced countries, which leads to various neurological defects. Considering the importance of rehabilitation measures to reduce the complications of this disease, this study aimed to determine the effect of rehabilitation measures on quality of life in patients. Materials and Methods: This quasi-experimental study was carried out on 30 patients with cerebral stroke admitted to the hospital. They were selected using easy sampling method and had inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a questionnaire on quality of life in the four areas (physical, mental, general health, social function) before and after the intervention. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics) were used for analyzing the data (paired t-test, Wilcoxon and independent t-test). Results: The results showed that the mean scores of quality of life in the areas of physical, psychological, social performance and general health after rehabilitation measures increased significantly (P = 0.05). Also, the overall score of quality of life after rehabilitation measures was significantly higher than before (P = 0.05). Conclusion: Rehabilitation measures have a positive effect on different aspects of quality of life. Establishing and strengthening rehabilitation, educational and support centers will enable these patients to benefit from these measures and is an important step in their independence.
