How Far Can We Go in the Early Management of Acute Ischemic Stroke?

I'll only refer to this one line in here which points out the appalling goals of stroke research. Measuring reperfusion volume does absolutely nothing for stroke survivors. How many of these fully recovered? That is the only goal and endpoint of all stroke research. These intermediate steps mean nothing to stroke survivors. Have you never talked to any survivors?

Both the DAWN and DEFUSE 3 trials used the same automated perfusion software (RAPID) to measure the volume of early infarct and hypoperfused volume.
