Sliver removal

With all the buckthorn removal I'm doing my right hand get lots of slivers.Even with all the suggestions on the internet, they all end with using tweezers(Impossible with a non-functional left hand) to do final removal. My toes do not have that capability yet.   I have to wait until they are surrounded by pus and then pop them out with the edge of my bathroom mirror. So, one more failure to chalk up on my doctors scoring tabulation. So far he must be down tens of thousands and all of the successes were due to my work.
