2019 Research Grant recipients - Stroke Foundation Australia
Because there is NO stroke strategy we don't have any research that stops the 5 causes of the neuronal cascade of death in the first week. We can't allow researchers to decide what to research, we must direct the research to solve specific stroke problems.
I checked out the grant recipients, and they are researching the usual things: exercise, impact of health services, post-stroke memory rehab, etc. Too bad there's not a central research organization to see the massive amount of previous research.
