Promise and Pitfalls of Paying-for-Performance: Learning From the Polish Experience

I wholeheartedly agree pay for performance should be implemented for stroke. Doctors and hospital pay $1000 per dead neuron.

At 177 million dead neurons in the first 90 minutes  that would cost my stroke hospital 177 billion dollars. An addition 5.4 billion dead neurons in the first week would cost 5.4 trillion dollars.  THAT just might concentrate your doctor and hospital to solve stroke. Nothing else is working.
