My trail connecting loops 2 and 3 is almost done. Storms last year dropped lots of trees which took a while to clear. This one is 20 inches in diameter and since my chainsaw is only 12 inches it's left a chuck of uncut wood at the bottom. One side is completely through as you can tell by the log resting on the ground. The other side I've cut thru twice and still have work to do. Probably will need to use my 18 inch pruning saw when it is a little cooler and I don't have social engagements in the evening.

| When I left on May 23 there was water lapping at the bottom of the log. Amazingly now that the water has gone there really aren't that many mosquitos out. I don't always need my headnet. |
