Stand up paddling try

The Limousine of the Seas was the catamaran we boated on from Puerta Vallarta to Yelepa. The first stop was in a local bay to have people try kayaking, SUPs, swimming and floaters. I had always wanted to try stand up paddle boarding. It was a total failure. Just trying to get on the board from the ship caused me to fall in the water.  The local guide then  showed how you were supposed to pull yourself on the board from the water by grabbing the center pull slot with both hands. Since that was impossible, I managed to swing my right leg onto the board and the guide was able to haul the rest of me on face down. Immediately, I realized the initial stability was so bad that any move I would make to either kneel or sit up would cause me to slip off and I would have to be unceremoniously rescued.  Will try again, in much shallower water.

A barely visible SUP person on here

2 people in here on SUPs both sitting, Did see one guy successfully paddling around standing up.
