More failures of my doctor and therapists - lawn mowing

Since I'm getting my 95 year old Mom set up in her house again, I had to mow the lawn. Haven't had to do that for 15+ years. Her mower has a dead man's lever which made starting it hard since my left hand doesn't have enough clenching power to stay clenched when other muscles need to move. When running it meant I couldn't adjust my glasses sliding off my nose since that would trigger the dead man's switch and turn off the motor.  Both doctor and therapists totally failed at getting any recovery in my left hand; NADA, ZILCH, NONE!

  1. I use zip ties to hold the deadman switch. It can slide off when I'm done.
