Abstract

Ischemic stroke is a major global cause of long-term disability. Although acute treatment has improved, many patients continue to experience motor, sensory, and cognitive impairments. Rehabilitation is essential for restoring independence and maximizing recovery. This article reviews evidence-based strategies that enhance rehabilitation effectiveness after ischemic stroke, including early mobilization, intensive therapy, neuroplasticity-focused interventions, modern technological approaches, and multidisciplinary care. Current challenges and future directions are also discussed.
