Lansing hospital 1st in Michigan to be certified comprehensive stroke center

I suppose I should be happy since this is probably where I would be sent for my next stroke. But since the Joint commission doesn't let you know what is being evaluated this is actually rather worthless. There is never any discussion on how many patients get to 100% recovery. That would be my criteria.

Sparrow Hospital officials in Lansing are celebrating their recent certification as Michigan’s first Comprehensive Stroke Center.
The Lansing hospital is one of only 20 centers recognized for its stroke treatment, which starts with diagnosis, through hospital treatment and outpatient therapy.

  1. And yet their website lists warning signs of stroke as face, speech, and limb pushed by the ASA. Those of ud who show up with SUDDEN onset of poor balance or impaired vision are screwed.
