Plans to Streamline Stroke Research in the Works

Its about time, A Great stroke association would have enabled this years ago but we have non-functioning stroke associations.

Wouldn't it be nice if a clinical trial took only months to initiate rather than years? The NIH thinks so too and has a plan to make that dream come true, Walter Koroshetz, MD, said in this exclusive InFocus interview.
Koroshetz, the deputy director of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, announced the new initiative -- called Stroke Trials Network -- at the International Stroke Conference here.
The gist of the plan is to consolidate resources so the wheel isn't re-invented for every clinical trial -- and stroke research is ripe with trials
