The major problem with this is that it delays even further looking for the replacement for tPA. With approximately a 13-32% efficacy rate of those getting the drug and only 5% getting the drug. And yes, I would most likely be dead without getting it so I wouldn't be able to complain about it. Any rational analysis of its use since 1996 would consider it a failure. You in the Joint Commission can prove me wrong, so do it. First define failure; 13-32% efficacy sounds like failure to me, regardless of those it helped.
