Are you doing anything in the first week to stop the neuronal cascade of death? Don't bring up any of my suggestions until after the session. Put him on the spot about why he is doing nothing, and lack of settled research is not an answer. What would he do if he had a stroke?
We can't be polite because life and death hangs in the balance.

“Stroke – What You Know Before and After Can
Make all the Difference" is the next topic in the Waveny Care Center and
Norwalk Hospital public lecture series to be presented at The Village
at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 4 p.m.
The featured speaker is Daryl Story, MD, Director, Norwalk Hospital
Stroke Center. He will discuss symptoms, diagnosis and the latest
treatments for stroke. He will also provide information on the
prevention of stroke. Following the program will be a question and
answer session.
Dr. Story received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. He
graduated from New York College of Medicine and completed a Stroke
Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Story, who is in practice with Neurology Associates of Norwalk, is
certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and Vascular
Neurology. He has conducted extensive research on stroke and has
participated in professional seminars as an expert on this topic. He is
a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
