Turns out it’s not just diet soda that’s bad for you. Women’s Health
reports that a new study out of Japan shows a whopping 83% increase in
the chance of stroke in women who had about one sugary soda per day.

The study lasted for 18
years, and shows that even women who curbed their soda intake during the
study’s first three to nine years still had an increased risk of
stroke. So the soda you drink today, even if you stop years from now,
can come back to haunt you in a big way.
