7 Best Stroke Websites according to caring.com

Thats their opinion.
This is from the doctors viewpoints.  A survivor would not rate these at all, Canadas Strokengine belongs in first, ASA and NSA are worthless.

I'll be extremely arrogant and say that my site is better than all of these combined if we want to improve stroke rehab in the long run.

#1 Best Stroke Website: The Internet Stroke Center

#2 Best Stroke Website: National Stroke Association

You have got to be kidding on this one I never go there because it has no concrete information on rehabilitation and its obviously for doctors. A seminar of theirs I once went to had this for an answer to my question, ' What therapies are available for spasticity?'  'This question falls under our organizational guidelines as a medical inquiry and we defer to the medical community to respond. '

#3 Best Stroke Website: American Stroke Association

#4 Best Stroke Website: American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

#5 Best Stroke Website: Womenshealth.gov

#6 Best Stroke Website: CDC Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention

#7 Best Stroke Website: WebMD Stroke Health Center

  1. This is a predictable list: by organizations that claim to be a top source for stroke information. Maybe if they say it often enough, it becomes true. Yes, yours is better in that it provides more direct access to information, instead of interpreting information for us.

I think the sites are marketing vehicles for the organizations, but content-free for most survivors.
