Last call for RAISE nominations!

Man I'm so arrogant I nominated myself for Outstanding individual. I won't get it because to give it to me they would have to acknowledge that their whole organization is a failure. Talk about biting the hand that might feed you.

Dear dean,
Over the past two years, we have given 13 awards to individuals and organizations across the country for carrying out stroke awareness activities in their communities. The 2013 Raising Awareness in Stroke Excellence (RAISE) Awards nomination period is well under way—you only have 10 days left to nominate someone you know (or yourself) for any efforts in stroke awareness in your community!
No effort to raise stroke awareness is too small. When all efforts are put together, it is then that we begin to see the biggest impact. Kathy Howard, a 2012 RAISE Award winner from St. Louis, Mo., felt her efforts were not big enough, but in reality, she was very deserving of an award:
It was the most unexpected and appreciated honor I have ever received. I felt that I had not done enough yet to be so deserving while at the same time it has been my motivation to give survivors a voice.”
