A shot of hope: Locals have faith in unconventional stroke treatment

A single injection and a five minute wait with promises of reversing stroke and traumatic brain injuries has Steve Garmrath and others across the nation wondering if it can help their loved ones, too.
Garmrath's mother, Geraldine Garmrath, 72, suffered a stroke on June 29, and has been at Belle Meade Healthcare since. After her stroke, she became paralyzed on her left side.
