Stroke treatment pioneered by Royal Melbourne Hospital researchers changing the way doctors approach condition

I can't see how this treatment is any better than what went on before. Knowledge of  which parts of the brain were irreversibly damaged has no bearing on how well the stenting would work. Unless the MRI allows then to better tell where the stent should be placed. But if that is the case then they should say that  instead of being obtuse. I really wonder if we have people with high enough IQs working in the stroke medical field.
