A high-glycemic diet is associated with cerebral amyloid burden in cognitively normal older adults

Another reason for your doctor and nutritionist to set up a diet protocol. But your doctor will fail at this once again. For all these reasons you need to worry about this even if your doctor does not care to actually do some work.  How long will you continue seeing incompetent doctors before YOU demand competency?

1. A documented 33% dementia chance post-stroke from an Australian study?   May 2012.
2. Then this study came out and seems to have a range from 17-66%. December 2013.
3. A 20% chance in this research.   July 2013.

Taylor MK, et al. - Cross-sectional analyses were performed to evaluate the association of dietary glycemic measures with the cerebral amyloid burden and cognitive performance in cognitively normal older adults. The researchers found an association between high-glycemic diet and greater cerebral amyloid burden, which suggested diet as a potential modifiable behavior for cerebral amyloid accumulation and subsequent Alzheimer's disease risk.
