Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

Woman suffers eight strokes and cardiac arrest after cosmetic injection horror

Once again the inability to diagnose a stroke rears its ugly head. Has this hospital reviewed the procedures for diagnosing a stroke? Unless YOU call them up and ask they will do nothing.  And it is a teaching hospital which makes this infinitely worse. Phone: +44 20 3456 7890

Hailey Terrell, 37, has had to re-learn to walk, talk and write – spending a total of five weeks in hospital – after suffering a horrifying reaction to a dermal filler.
The pilates instructor, who is originally from Oklahoma in Texas, US, but lived in London at the time, knew that there was a tiny risk of stroke but was not worried.
She said: "I had no idea a filler injection could kill me.
"When I went to have an injection there is a leaflet with all the side effects listed.
"But it is just like the paper in a paracetamol box - I never thought it would actually happen to me.'"
Ms Terrell was studying for a Masters in Real Estate at Cass Business School in London when she found a deal online for a dermal filler. After thoroughly researching the practice, she set the date for the injection in her chin.
She said: "I'd had injections before with no issues and nothing about this practitioner seemed out of the ordinary.
"She was qualified and a registered nurse so I thought that aspect was all I had to worry about."
But the next day Ms Terrell's first symptoms began to appear.
She added: "I took a bite of pitta [bread] and struggled to swallow it.
"I tried to tell my friend I couldn't swallow my food properly but the words weren't coming out. Suddenly I had an awful lisp and it was still there the next day.
"A friend told me I might have had a stroke.
"I thought only old people or overweight people had strokes but I agreed I should get checked out."
Ms Terrell visited London University College Hospital but was sent home just two days later with a food allergy prescription.
