Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

1 Alcoholic Drink a Day Could Shorten Your Life By 2.5 Months, Study Says

Not changing my mind for the couple days a week I go to bars for music and socializing which is going to prevent dementia. Vastly more important to have quality of life than a slightly longer life.

I'm using it for social connections for prevention of dementia thus I'm ignoring the cons because I think the benefits exceed the cons. But I'm not medically trained so don't listen to me.

Alcohol for these 12 reasons. None of these are valid according to Dr. Stockwell.

1 Alcoholic Drink a Day Could Shorten Your Life By 2.5 Months, Study Says

New research about alcohol and life expectancy has just been released, and suddenly that second round of margaritas doesn't sound as enticing. In fact, drinking just two of those spicy margs per week could reportedly shorten your life by three to six days.

That sobering data comes courtesy of Dr. Tim Stockwell, a scientist at the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research. The Daily Mail reports that Dr. Stockwell, who helped solidify the Canadian government’s alcohol guidelines, developed his findings on alcohol consumption and life expectancy after five years of research.

And unfortunately for frequent imbibers, the numbers get even bleaker when the amount of alcohol consumed per week increases. If a person were to drink seven alcoholic beverages a week (beer, wine, or spirits), they risk cutting their life expectancy by two and a half months. A person who drinks 35 alcoholic beverages a week is looking at shaving two years off their life, according to the research.

Dr. Stockwell admits that these numbers are averages, and some people could end up luckier than others. He also shot down any chatter about alcohol being okay or healthy, even in moderation.

"Alcohol is our favorite recreational drug. We use it for pleasure and relaxation, and the last thing we want to hear is that it causes any harm...it’s comforting to think that drinking is good for our health, but unfortunately, it’s based on poor science," said Dr. Stockwell, the Daily Mail reports.

Sounds like now might be a great time to look at some mocktail recipes.
