Changing stroke rehab and research worldwide now.Time is Brain! trillions and trillions of neurons that DIE each day because there are NO effective hyperacute therapies besides tPA(only 12% effective). I have 523 posts on hyperacute therapy, enough for researchers to spend decades proving them out. These are my personal ideas and blog on stroke rehabilitation and stroke research. Do not attempt any of these without checking with your medical provider. Unless you join me in agitating, when you need these therapies they won't be there.

What this blog is for:

My blog is not to help survivors recover, it is to have the 10 million yearly stroke survivors light fires underneath their doctors, stroke hospitals and stroke researchers to get stroke solved. 100% recovery. The stroke medical world is completely failing at that goal, they don't even have it as a goal. Shortly after getting out of the hospital and getting NO information on the process or protocols of stroke rehabilitation and recovery I started searching on the internet and found that no other survivor received useful information. This is an attempt to cover all stroke rehabilitation information that should be readily available to survivors so they can talk with informed knowledge to their medical staff. It lays out what needs to be done to get stroke survivors closer to 100% recovery. It's quite disgusting that this information is not available from every stroke association and doctors group.

A fall

Just came back from 3 weeks at my off-the grid cabin right next to the BWCA(Boundary Waters Canoe Area). I didn't fall on a three day canoe trip there where I was the duffer in the center. It required both of my friends to get me into and out of the canoe without falling on slick rocks. A 1/2 mile trip up the Border Route trail over wet rocks and slippery planks to cut thru 3 logs with my chainsaw didn't result in a fall either. Going 1.5 miles in the other direction on the Border Route Trail was also done safely.  Dragging and burning a 5 foot high by 15 feet long by 15 feet deep brush pile over the course of a week was also done safely.

But walking back 20 feet from starting the generator I tripped on the little bridge. Throwing my right arm up to protect myself, I slammed my elbow into a rock. Fairly well bruised, it was impossible to use that arm to start to push myself up from sitting for a week. I consider that safety record is because of the vast amount of walking I do on the unimproved trails next to my apt. complex.

The main cabin, 900 sq. ft. 2 bedroom. We do have internet and calling as you can see by the satellite dish on the roof.

The last morning sitting on our dock watching the sunrise, drinking coffee. This bald eagle flew in and landed on the top of our 40 foot tall fir tree next to our dock.
